LinkedIn Profile – this is now almost more important than a cv. Make sure your profile reflects you in the right way. Remember recruiters will search for you by industry, location and key words – and make sure your profile photo is suitable.
Define your job requirements – a few minutes jotting down what you are looking for and why will pay dividends (it’s the first question we ask all our candidates). Think about the type of business, type of role(s), level of responsibility & key job functions that you are looking for.

Register with an industry specialist recruitment consultancy. Do some research to make sure your chosen agency(ies) are likely to have roles that match your skills, experience and grade.
Be patient and selective – only apply for roles that are a strong fit to your experience and requirements.
