How can you be sure that your business and brand is being appropriately represented when you appoint a recruitment consultant?
In today’s highly competitive job market employers need to go the extra mile to attract the best employees to their business. Here are a few things to consider:
Are you taking adequate steps to qualify your chosen recruitment supplier and ensure they will not mis-represent your brand?
Are you taking time to fully brief them and supply them with sufficient information about your business?
Are you checking what they are sending out to potential candidates about your job opportunity?
Obviously the fewer recruitment suppliers you use the easier this will be to control. If you have a PSL of tried and tested business you are half-way there. If you are looking for a new supplier in a specialist field, make sure you meet them before they start working for you, ask them what they will send out to candidates and get re-assurances for confidentiality. Are they set up to ask candidates to sign Non-disclosure agreements if required? Can they provide references from other clients they work for?
