Do you have a strategy for your career?
Whilst most of us don’t have time to write a detailed career strategy, I think it can be very useful to take a half-hour coffee break once a year and think about what you are doing, why, and what you want to achieve. Most importantly – what will make you (and those you care about) happy now and in the future.
So if you don’t have the time or money for life coaching, try this:
• Do I have a choice about what job I do?
• What constraints/considerations do I need to consider?
• I am content with what I am currently doing?
• If not, what do I need to do to change this?
Have a go – and write it down.
Re-visit your notes a week later and if you still feel the same, take some action.
