A new European legislation coming into play in May 2018 regarding how businesses communicate with their customers.
2. Who will it affect?
Businesses or organisation who contacts us as a consumer (i.e. to a personal email address) must comply with new EU regulations from May 2018. It also applies to B2B contacts but the rules are slightly different.

It will give consumers more control over their personal data and what it is used for. There will be large fines for organisations who do not comply.
5.What are Copeland doing about GDPR?
We are currently reviewing all our processes for contact with our candidates and clients. We want to ensure that we are compliant with GDPR whist ensuring that all our contacts are sent only relevant information that they wish to receive and trust Copeland to treat their data in a fully lawful way.
