Job Description
A fast-growing supplier of vehicle maintenance contracts and service plans is looking to recruit a team of New Business Development Managers to sell into end-user fleets. The business is independently owned and prides itself in providing impartial advice and a highly customer-focused service.
The positions are home-based and will cover the following regions: South West, Midlands, North West, North East & Scotland.
The BDMs will be responsible for prospecting and winning new business with end-user fleets of any size. You will mainly work from home but will visit customers 1 or 2 days a week and will need to attend a monthly sales meeting at head office in the Midlands.
These roles would suit proven B2B new business developers with experience selling a product or service into end-user fleets. This could be vehicles, maintenance, software, tyres or any other similar product or service. Most importantly you’ll need to demonstrate a passion for new business development with the ability to open-doors and win new customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities with fleets through proactive prospecting.
- Make a high volume of outbound calls to identify and qualify potential customers.
- Book appointments with prospective clients.
- Attend face-to-face meetings to present our products/services and secure new business.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Develop lasting relationships with new customers.
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales and activity targets.
- Keep accurate records of all sales activity within the CRM system.
- Represent the company professionally and act as a trusted ambassador for the brand.
About You
- Experience selling a product or service into end-user fleets
- A proven track record in B2B sales – winning new business.
- Ideally previous experience in a field/home based role
- A genuine hunter with a passion for winning new business.
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls every day.
- Experience in cold calling and appointment setting.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Confident, resilient, and motivated by achieving results.
- A valid driving license
- Trustworthy, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote role
