Learn how Copeland can help you

How did you first come to work with Copeland?

The approach came from you. I wasn’t actually looking but it was the way you presented the potential opportunity to me. It kind of made me quite interested in the vacancy. …I thought it was a great fit for my experience. It was a role that I perhaps might not have necessarily have had the confidence to go for myself without your reassurance. I didn’t look back from that point of view.

What career goals were you trying to achieve?

I had always wanted to get into a manufacturer-based job. I had done retail for a long long time and it felt a little bit like a chicken and egg situation. To get into a manufacturer job a lot of people will want you to have experience in that role. I had a wealth of experience in aftersales in the automotive industry, I just didn’t have that field-based experience. I guess it’s the fact that you know – you took a chance on me and looked at my skillset and decided to put me forward. I may not have had that kind of opportunity if you hadn’t have reached out.

What have been the benefits of working with Copeland?

Knowing that you are there is a bit of a safety net. With your wonderful, calming influence, that you’re going to reassure me that it’s fine and we’ll find you something and it’s not the end of the world. To again go through that process of trying to find me the best opportunity and not just spamming my cv out, which isn’t very helpful. …it’s good to know that actually there’s somebody there who knows a bit about you and is going to sell you to prospective employers and is going to do their best to try and help you find something else.

What’s it like working with Copeland?

I know somebody else who got a position through yourself. She’s now been in her role for about 5 years and really her experience was pretty much the same as mine. She just felt, you were really professional to deal with.

I like the way you interact on LinkedIn. Your presence is very much a bit about the vacancies you’ve got but also other interesting information like where employment is going, industry stats, and just sort of information generally.

It was a role that I perhaps might not have necessarily have had the confidence to go for myself without your reassurance.
