Job Description
A market leading provider of EV charging solutions is seeking a New Business Development Manager to drive new sales into the SME Fleet Sector across the UK. The company embraces technology and has enjoyed fantastic growth in recent years and has ambitious plans for further expansion. You’ll be joining an highly motivated and dynamic team and will sell an innovative offering to fleets.
You’ll use your knowledge and experience selling a product or service into UK SME fleets to open doors and win business. The position is hybrid with the requirement to work in their London office some days each week. The rest of the time you’ll work from home or visit customers across the UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop & execute a new-business acquisition plan targeting SME fleets across the UK
- Generate a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting, referrals & networking
- Build and manage relationships with fleet decisionmakers through regular check-ins
- Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring their feedback is passed on to leadership
- Work with leadership to identify new opportunities and refine processes and marketing initiatives
- Represent the company at trade shows, regional fleet events and business forums
- Build relationships and partnerships with key sales channels (leasing companies, fleet management companies)
ABOUT YOU
- At least 3 years’ proven experience in a business development role selling into SME fleets (with either leasing, fleet management, fuel card, fleet services providers or similar)
- An existing network of UK SME fleet contacts – ideally in the <250 fleet size
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills, able to sell on value rather than price
- Ambitious, hardworking, self-starter with the ability to work independently, thrive in a start-up environment
- Naturally curious with the desire to improve product proposition
- A genuine passion for delivering an excellent customer experience and a market leading product
- Commercially aware, confident communicator and highly organised
- Familiar with CRM systems and digital sales tools – ideally Salesforce
- A strong interest in renewable energy infrastructure/tech/energy transition
- Able to work in Central London some days each week
