Job Description

An early growth technology business who provide AI enhanced software solutions to the retail motor industry are seeking a Business Development Manager. Their solutions enhance customer satisfaction, reputation management and improve business performance. The position is field based and will cover England, Scotland and Wales and you’ll need to live fairly centrally within the region.

This is a ‘hunter’ role and will focus on building new automotive dealer group customers. It would suit someone with a passion for, and track record in, new business development selling a service or solution to automotive dealers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new customers to expand partnerships with automotive dealers and dealer groups.
  • Achieve new business revenue targets
  • Provide demonstrations & webinars of products to customers, both online and on-site.
  • Create and manage an active pipeline of leads and opportunities in the CRM system.
  • Identify opportunities with existing customers and develop incremental business.
  • Accurately report on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Represent the company at industry events and functions.
  • Build and maintain exceptional customer relationships with existing clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop best practices and new prospecting techniques.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in business development within the automotive retail sector, particularly at the group level.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong network of contacts within the UK automotive dealer groups.
  • Preferred experience in software / technology / solution based sales.
  • Excellent telephone skills and confident communication abilities.
  • Technical proficiency with Outlook, MS Office.
  • Strong communication skills: clear, concise writing and effective speaking.
  • Interpersonal skills: enthusiastic, can-do attitude, cooperative, and motivational.
  • Organisational skills: punctual, attentive, and detail-orientated.
  • Problem analysis skills: understand problems, identify causes, propose solutions.
  • Teamwork skills: contribute to the overall effectiveness of information systems.
