Job Description
A long established, fast growing business is seeking an Account Director to manage a portfolio of FN50 Key Accounts. The business provides innovative services to FN50 leasing companies that help protect the asset value of their fleets. This is a new role, created due to business growth, and offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience managing FN50 accounts. Your background could be with any service offering – as long as you can demonstrate a strong knowledge of, and ability to manage and build multi-layered, key accounts.
The position is field-based managing FN50 accounts across the UK. Ideally you’ll be located fairly centrally in England – probably between the M4 and M62 corridors.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Account manage existing portfolio of key national accounts with FN50 businesses
- Continually seek opportunities to win incremental business from your key accounts
- To create profitable, long term, multi-level relationships with key customer decision makers and stakeholders
- Maintain insight into industry trends
- Keep one step ahead of the competition and deal directly to minimise their effect on national targets
- To implement and monitor targeted marketing and sales plans to deliver profit and growth plans
- Ensure key customers are serviced to the highest standards
- Suggest actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes
- Develop a productive line of engagement with key stakeholders in the referral and supply network
- Be aware of all client account development plans and anticipate the impact of growth or contraction
- Help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes
ABOUT YOU
- Experience managing FN50 accounts – promoting a service offering
- Experience working in a field-based account management role in automotive financial services / leasing
- A self-starter with proven ability to work successfully in a remote role
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the leasing / contract hire businesses and their key business drivers
- Have a proven track record securing and sustaining long-term relationships with key clients
- Excellent business relationship building, questioning and persuasive skills
- Demonstrate rigorous standards of performance and behaviour
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Good level of numeracy and able to use Excel spreadsheets
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to structure a business plan based on accurate and reasoned financial arguments
- Live centrally in the UK – ideally somewhere between the M4 corridor and M62 corridor
