Do you have experience in vehicle diagnostics – including EVs? Are you available to take on a 6-month contract – starting immediately?
A manufacturer of passenger cars is looking for Dealer Technical Support Manager for a 6-month fixed contract – to start as soon as possible. The role is hybrid with 1-2 days a week in the office (in Southern England) and the rest in the field visiting dealers across the UK.
You’ll be tasked with providing technical support to their UK dealer network including handling any customer escalations. This role would suit someone with vehicle diagnostic experience including knowledge of EV vehicle diagnostics, combined with excellent communication and problem solving skills. You’ll need to be qualified to at least Level 3 City & Guilds (or equivalent) and be able to take on a 6-month fixed term contract starting immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing field-based technical support to dealers across the UK
- Supporting the in-house technical team with dealer enquiries
- Managing customer escalations
- Auditing minimum standards
- Implementing training plans and compliance
- Warranty, training, arbitration and audit
- Liaising with dealer service departments
- Diagnostics where dealer needs assistance
- IT Systems support
- Supporting the aftersales team
About You
- Experience in vehicle diagnostics (including EVs) within the last 3 years
- A track record of improving performance and efficiency in an aftersales environment
- Minimum of Level 3 City & Guilds Motor Vehicle qualification (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Professional appearance and a highly customer focused approach
- Good IT skills including MS Office
- Driving licence and ability to travel regularly across the UK
- Able to take on a 6-month fixed term contract – starting immediately
