Job Description
A highly successful vehicle conversion business who manufacturer a range of high quality LCV conversions are seeking a Head of Operations. The business has enjoyed significant growth over recent years and is now looking for a Head of Operations to help them scale up to the next level.
You’ll be tasked with managing a large team and scaling operations effectively to support projected growth, optimising workshop throughput and field technician efficiency, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction during expansion.
The position is based at their head office in South East England and will involve occasional travel in the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the smooth running of the Services & Parts Departments
- Leading a large, diverse team – both on site and remote, including: technicians, warranty, service reception, parts operatives
- Ensuring all work is delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality
- Managing the pre-delivery preparation of new vehicles
- Implementing manufacturing/production/logistics and operational goals that exceed customer expectations
- Overseeing work schedules and workforce management to ensure maximum use of resources
- Monitoring quality and service standards ensuring required levels are met
- Managing annual budgets, forecasts and expenditure proposals
- Ensure ongoing compliance with legislation, industry standards, health & safety
- Collaborating with other departments in the business
About You
- Strong experience leading large teams (30 + people).
- A proven track record of growing and improving operational and financial performance.
- Experience producing and managing budgets to include effective resource allocation.
- Demonstrate ability oversee the management of pre-delivery production and end-to-end production, logistics and operational goals.
- Ability to deliver and a strong customer service experience that exceeds expectations.
- Evidence of working to required quality, health & safety, compliance regs and environmental guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate ability to oversee a workshop, service or parts operations in an aftersales function.
- Formal qualification in either Business Administration, Operations or Management would
- Able to commute daily to the head office & travel in the UK & Europe occasionally
