Job Description
A market leading software (SaaS) solutions business serving the automotive repair sector is seeking 2 Business Development Managers to build sales with new and existing customers. The positions are field based, one covering the Midlands region and the other covering the Southern UK.
These roles would suit target driven salespeople with a proven track record in new business development in an automotive industry B2B field-based sales roles. You will enjoy ‘hunting’ for new business and opening doors but equally have strong customer development and nurturing skills. Experience/knowledge of software/SaaS sales would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth
- Assist customers in maximising product use while identifying upselling opportunities
- Identify and prospect new customers in your region to generate leads and expand customer base
- Follow up on all incoming customer leads to convert into sales
- Quickly learn and master all aspects of the SaaS product including its features, benefits and application
- Network with potential business partners and customers to build strong relationships
- Attend industry shows / exhibitions as required
- Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with key accounts
- Negotiate and close sales agreements to achieve targets
- Conduct market research to identify new customer segments and emerging opportunities
- Stay informed on product updates, industry trends, and competitor activity
- Monitor, analyse, and report on sales performance and market feedback
- Regular travel within your region to visit customers and attend industry events
About You
- A proven track record in new business development in a B2B sales role in the automotive sector
- Experience or knowledge of bodyshops/crash repair sector highly advantageous
- A highly driven, sales focused approach with a passion for prospecting and winning new business
- An understanding of the software/SaaS would be very advantageous but as a minimum you’ll need the ability to quickly learn a large IT/software system
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
- An ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics
- Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
- Educated to degree level would be an advantage but is not essential
- Valid driving license and ability to travel in the UK
