Job Description
An automotive captive finance business is seeking a Sales Development Manager – Remarketing to drive the sales of ex-lease (used) vehicles into their franchised dealer network. The positions is home-based with regular visits to dealers across the UK.
This role would suit someone with a proven track-record in sales, an understanding of the used vehicle / remarketing market and a passion for embracing technology to streamline processes. You’ll need the ability to build strong relationships with franchised dealers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the sale of ex-lease vehicles to the brand’s franchised dealers – maximising resale values
- Promote the use of the digital remarketing system with dealers and assist them in its use
- Assist in developing the business’s vehicle remarketing strategy,
- Onboarding new users to the system and overall remarketing process
- Assist in developing activity plans for remarketing current fleet
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of agreed activity in line with prescribed budgets,
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including remarketing outsourced suppliers
- Work in conjunction with the Risk Department to ensure business performance is optimised,
- Drive continual improvement using industry insight, customer feedback and technology
- Ensure all activity is carried out in line with the company’s governance framework and in line regulatory business principles
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working in with automotive sector in a dealer based or dealer-facing sales role
- Excellent consultative sales and relationship building skills
- A proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Digitally savvy with the ability to use and champion the use of a digital remarketing system
- Ability to influence and negotiate to maximise sales and prices
- Ability to work remotely and manage your time and multiple projects appropriately
- Experience in or ability to quickly learn the process of used vehicle remarketing and buyer requirements
- Able to manage multiple internal & external stakeholders including senior management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to produce presentations, including business case proposals and briefs
- An understanding of FCA, legal, regulatory and compliance issues
- Driving license and ability to travel within the UK with occasional overnight stays
