Job Description

A marketing communications agency is seeking a Senior Account Manager to head up a premium brand automotive retail marketing account. You’ll be the first point of contact with the automotive manufacturer client and will will use your excellent relationship building skills and automotive retail marketing knowledge to build a great client-agency relationship.  The position is hybrid with at least one day a week at the agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for the automotive manufacturer client’s marketing team
  • Manage an account executive
  • Ensure work runs through the agency smoothly and right first time
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and trust
  • Act in a consultative way to the dealers to educate them on best practice marketing principles
  • Be a trusted ‘go to’ for both the manufacturer client and their dealers
  • Nurturing and developing the team ensuring they are happy and performing well
  • Ensuring the account is efficient and profitable with monthly forecasting, billing, estimates etc
  • Presenting & selling strategy and creative work to improve the output and effectiveness for the client.

About You

  • Experience working in an automotive retail marketing role, either in an automotive dealer, a field based Regional Marketing role or in an account management role in an agency (on a dealer marketing account)
  • Experience working in all areas of automotive dealer marketing – in particular digital marketing
  • An understanding of agency processes would be very useful
  • Excellent organisational, presentation, negotiation and team management skills
  • A flexible approach to responsibilities and the ability to flex working hours to suit the needs of clients
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent or relevant work experience
  • Located in Southern England
