I was delighted to be invited to take part in a panel at the annual BVRLA Industry Outlook Conference this month. The BVRLA, The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association represents companies engaged in vehicle rental, leasing and fleet management. The Industry Outlook Conference is one of many events organised by the BVRLA for their members. The 2025 event looked at insights in the leasing and rental sector – including EV Adoption, autonomous and connected vehicle tech, government strategy, corporate fleet decision making and rental & leasing trends.
I took part in a panel discussion entitled Building the Workforce of Tomorrow. Along with other experts from Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion and the use of AI we discussed what the next few years will demand in terms of skills, recruitment, structures and hiring talent. I spoke about what employees are seeking and what motivates them to stay or leave – quoting the latest data from my annual salary survey. This data will be published in our next Automotive Salary Guide.
