Job Description

A market leading SaaS solutions business serving the automotive repair sector is seeking a Sales Manager to lead their UK team. The business is based outside the UK and is a market leader in its home market

The UK Sales Manager will be responsible for leading, motivating and growing their UK team covering sales, customer onboarding and customer support.  This role would suit a highly driven sales manager with a proven track record of success leading and growing a B2B sales team in the automotive sector.

The ability to understand the SaaS sales model is essential and experience selling SaaS would be advantageous. Candidates with a keen interest in technology and the digital space – combined with experience selling other products/services in an automotive B2B environment would also be welcomed.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll will be tasked with achieving ambitious customer acquisition, revenue and customer retention targets for the UK. You’ll be field-based and will cover the entire UK with regular travel to meet customers and your field-based team. There may also be the requirement for occasional trips overseas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales, onboarding and customer support for UK to achieve targets
  • Scale sales and marketing to drive new customer acquisition
  • Lead, motivate and inspire your team to achieve their targets
  • Devise marketing, advertising campaigns and promotional events
  • Create and manage territories
  • Set sales and canvassing targets
  • Ensure successful onboarding is carried out for all customers
  • Deliver timely, accurate support to the customer base
  • Establish a disciplined, performance-driven culture for your team with clear accountability
  • Keeping abreast of the UK market’s needs and competitors to help the business innovate and stay ahead of the competition
  • Travel regularly across the UK to visit customers, support your team and attend industry events

About You

  • A track record leading a sales team growing sales and revenue in an automotive B2B environment
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing a B2B sales team – including field-based people
  • Ability to lead a large team including sales, onboarding and support functions
  • A strong interest and understanding of software, technology and the digital world
  • SaaS / software sales experience in the automotive sector highly desirable
  • Be highly self-motivated and product-oriented hands-on leader
  • Ability to understand the SaaS model and relay our product’s benefits to customers
  • A proven track record building a sales team (interviewing, training, and motivating)
  • Be located centrally in the UK and able to travel extensively in the UK
  • A valid driving license
